Weak integration of software development
Many isolated solutions
High complexity
Low transparency
Declining competitiveness
Consequences
Inefficient processes
High costs and risks for digitization projects
Missed opportunity for new digital business models
Creating transparency and defining objectives
Our solution
By using our MetaCre8 ED - Engineering Design method, we create transparency together with your technical experts and identify critical points. Building on this, we support you in defining a target image as a big picture.
Details
The efficient further development of the engineering landscape requires cooperation between experts from specialist departments and central departments such as IT and R&D processes. Due to different ideas and experiences as well as a lack of descriptive tools, people often talk past each other and valuable capacity is lost in workshops.
To significantly increase the efficiency of collaboration for digitalisation, MetaCre8 has developed an engineering framework that classifies the complicated structures and processes in a three-dimensional grid. Hierdurch wird zunächst ein einheitliches Grundverständnis für das Engineering erzeugt. In order to make the framework applicable for workshops, MetaCre8 ED is used as an effective modelling method. MetaCre8 ED allows teams to capture complicated engineering landscapes in a manageable amount of time, identify critical points and develop a target image. The result is a diagram that abstracts relevant engineering artefacts and processes and serves as a big picture for the digital transformation.
With the help of the Big Picture, engineering activities can be better parallelized and synchronized because it ensures that the sub-projects fit together. This accelerates the digital transformation.
Improved collaboration also reduces the risk of wrong decisions. Both managers and individual experts are relieved.
Furthermore, recurring patterns and best practices can be identified and applied in all sub-areas. This leads to even greater efficiency in implementation.
